Underwater fantasy scene (Group Project)


Our team of three talented 3D artists — Radhika Tambe, Gabriel Quant, and myself, Leia Guedez — collaborated on this project. The goal was to create a stylized underwater scene that tells the story of a young mermaid and her treasured collection hidden in the colorful Mediterranean Sea. 
My responsibilities in this project included creating a variety of detailed assets such as: 
• Jewelry 
• Coins 
• Sculptures 
• Rocks 
• Treasure trunk 
• Starfish 
• Pillars


We used Autodesk Maya for modeling, Substance Painter for texturing and materials, and Unreal Engine to bring the scene to life with lighting and rendering. 
The most valuable takeaway from this experience was learning how to build a shared creative vision from scratch as a team. It taught me a lot about both myself and my teammates — from exploring different artistic approaches to overcoming challenges through collaboration.
